These objects are reflections of innovative land use and cultivation processes made initially during a trip to South America. The Plots indulge my fascination with pattern, light and shadow, rich contrast, and dynamic transitions.  Fired ceramic objects become fertile blocks, wedges, and cliffs adorned unexpectedly with polymer clay and acrylic. I'm interested in engaging the viewer regarding material use and the idea of "man made" versus "natural" in agriculture today.
